while there is still light

...for HE has created light for both day...

...and night.
...and we should be grateful to wake up to live another day;
and seize every moment and fill our lives within our means, to its fullest.
Wonderful moments captured from my kitchen window.
It only reminds me that no matter how bad the day can be, how tough life has been,
how much more challenges ahead, and how many more of the unexpected yet to come;
there will still be light, a new day as the dawn breaks,
and the moonlight as my company thru the night.
We're never lonely, if we've been close to HIM.
In fact, loneliness is an... (more)

January Updates

First of all, I would like to thank you for visiting my blog.
This entry is a compilation of 3 entries as published in cheguthamrin.multiply.com, where I would prefer to post my journals.

Syukur, syukur Alhamdulillah~
Here's our little precious one, safely delivered on 27th January 2007, @ 1816, NUH.
Weighing 3465g, he's much 'bigger' than Aaryan at birth; who was only 2525g.
I have yet to get spme rest here, but I know some have been patiently waiting for this update. Here's a brief write up; as much as I could still remember -
12:30am 27th January;
Aaryan had just slept on... (more)

Finally, he slept.
Yes, finally. It was almost 12 midnight and he was still wide awake, roaming about the living room of his nenek's home. We had been here for 2 consecutive nights now; just like the time when we're expecting Aaryan's birth 2 years ago. At least, if my wife had the signs coming at night, he would be taken care of his nenek and atok here. So far, there has only been false alarms...
Like I've mentioned, this suspense is getting tense every moment. Unlike watching a thriller, or even the rollercoaster ride, we would know that somehow it will end, but now we have no idea when... (more)

Both sides of Critic

Have u ever been like Lucy (the girl in this cartoon) or say what she has said?

Have u ever been like Charlie instead, always on the receiving end of the critics
OR even became allergic?

Have you ever been in both situations?
Some guys are going thru this scenario in relationships / marriage.
Some women too... and this may have been among the main cause of divorce, or some might just hang on for the sake of the kids. In both cases, both suffer, emotionally drained.

Since this affects relationships, then it can be something worth improving, right?
How would you?
For most cases, we... (more)

How will Aaryan celebrate his brother's arrival?
I admit, its getting on my nerves now, that my wife has just passed her 39th week of pregnancy. Yes I've been excited, yet still manage to remain calm, composed, and I have not been showing any signs of anxiety, but this waiting game, the suspense is taking a toll on me, and herself, and I believe to some extent, the rest of you out there.
Aaryan himself came to this world on the expected delivery date itself, 30th March. It had been a complete 40 weeks for him, and her sisters and many friends had assured that the second one will be a... (more)

IQRA' = BACALAH = READ
Yes, please.

Read with them, read for them and listen to what they read to us.
It is NOT compulsory to send your kids to preschool, or nursery or kindergarten;
but it IS compulsory to send them to primary school education. Doesnt matter if they did not attend nursery K1 K2, but they still need to come to primary school.

So please dont forget to register for them, ok?

I know most of us parents had, and have been busy with the little one's progress in a new school, a new world, a new environment; and yes you might have been more kancheong than them. How... (more)

Aaryan's antics

Thats the bed bought from IKEA lately, cost us $45 for the frame and another $35 for the mattress. The video was taken just earlier today, we had asked him to sleep. He ran across the room, climed up the bed himself and dug himself under the pillow, pretending to sleep, but was giggling away when he knew we got him on video. :P

This one was taken right after the bed assembly.
So, here's our great pretender...

Aaryan, Aaryan, Aaryan... he can really get nasty when he's jealous!
Thanks to my sista Mimi, who had it recorded on her N73.

Come on, sign up for daily comics @ http://www.gocomics.com/calvinandhobbes/
A new year, a new resolution?
I dont think so lah, especially since past years' resolutions have yet to materialise? Now that would mean I have loads of resolutions to meet, and that makes me feel very guilty, and this negative feeling wont do any good for anyone, and then I'll start freaking out, and well... that's just not me.
Thanks to Calvin and Hobbes, the comic strip above summarised my thoughts.
"...just wing it and see what happens... I stick to my strengths."
Its not easy to have strength within... (more)

Anyway, the SMS received was like a reservist call up - short sweet simple: 10 - 12 pm The Cage. She gave me the nod, and I was patiently waiting for 9pm; like a little kid eager to play 'downstairs' - void deck soccer after doing his homework.
When the clock struck 9, and after somehow coaxed Aaryan into the bedroom (he seemed to know that I'll be out tonight) off I go... but not without my pair of boots of course! Since I've left a pair in school, I've no choice but to grab one in Queensway, which, by the time I reached, was already closed. So the next alternative was Mustafa Center -... (more)
